A Lovely Easter

This Easter, Sinclair had a wonderful time. She seemed to know all about Jesus and Easter eggs. A special thing this year was that Uncle Brian, Aunty Megan and baby Emma were here! Sinclair was so excited, as we all were, to meet Emma for the first time. On Easter Sunday, Sinclair got to wear a beautiful dress that she had received as a welcome home gift over a year and half ago. We had a wonderful time playing with the Stockards and having lunch and an egg hunt at Grammy Armijo's house with all of them and Aunty Amber and her kids as well. Even the earthquake didn't ruin our day!

Meeting Granddad and Grandma Harriet

Sinclair has been part of our family for so long, but there were still two close family members who she hadn't gotten to meet yet. At the end of February, Matt's Dad and stepmom came out from Tennessee just to see her. They all took to each other quite easily.
It's probably better that Granddad and Grandma Harriet waited a while to come see her, because she is much more outgoing with others now. She let them hold her and she talked to them a lot. This would not have happened had they come out in the first 6-12 months that she was with us. She has become quite the social butterfly since then! She loves to talk to people, and knows the names of the friends and neighbors that we see regularly.
Sinclair got to show Granddad and Harriet her room, her adoption documents, her church and her favorite restaurants. They watched her jump on the trampoline and she played Play-Doh with them--her favorite activities. She and all of us had a great time with Dad and Harriet!
